The International Unit
The International Unit is located in Stockholm and Brussels, coordinating international affairs within the Association. The Unit is in charge of European policy monitoring and public affairs of a cross-sectorial nature, as well as communications activities regarding international relations and the European Union.
The staff also provides support for politicians acting within European and international organisations, particularly the Swedish delegation in the Committee of the Regions.
As the European and international perspectives are integral parts of the day-to-day work of the Assocation, each division is in charge of public affairs and policy monitoring within its respective field. An EU Coordinator is appointed for each division to support European policy work.
